Antony Jinman Founder and CEO
Antony Jinman is a British Adventurer and Entrepreneur who has taken part in multiple expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctica, including skiing to both Geographic North and South Poles. He wanted to share his journey with students and, whilst in the field, connected with schools using email and satellite wi-fi to enable them to ask him questions and follow his progress in real time. Following the success of this, he developed a school outreach programme called Education Through Expeditions which promoted polar science in schools and awareness for relevant environmental issues, such as climate change. In 2010, Antony became Explorer in Residence at Plymouth University and started linking university fieldwork and research with schools, online, earning him an Honorary Doctorate in Education (Ed.D) from the University of the West of England.
Based on his own experience, linking his direct network, work and passions with schools, Antony realised the benefits school children would receive if other businesses and professionals were to do the same. Through his goal to raise the career aspirations of our future generations, LiketoBe was formed.
